Founded in 1991, Traders' Library was created as a financial book distribution company targeted to the full spectrum of the investment arena - from individual investors and financial advisors to professional traders. Today, we partner with key industry players in the investment world including financial planning, brokerage, insurance and institutional investment firms.

In 1995, Traders' Library opened its first store on the web at www.traderslibrary.com. As a result of our extensive relationships and daily contact with tens of thousands of traders, we are well-positioned to identify and meet the educational needs of the marketplace. Thus, to ensure adequate production and distribution of educational literature, Marketplace Books, Inc., a publishing arm and sister company of Traders' Library, was founded in 1995.

Placing an Order

How do I place an order?

If you already have a Traders' Library account:

  1. Login to your account.
  2. Browse through our store and select the titles you would like to order. Enter the title, author or topic you are looking for in the search box (or the item # if you have a catalog).
  3. After reviewing the item information, click the "Add to Cart" button to add the title to your shopping cart.
  4. Continue searching for more titles OR checkout – by clicking on the "Checkout" button from your shopping cart or the link on the left menu bar.
  5. Enter your information and click "Submit Order". Your order will be sent and processed within 24 hours of receipt at our warehouse.
  6. You will receive a confirmation e-mail when your order has been received, provided your e-mail address is correct. When the order is shipped, you will also receive a second e-mail containing a tracking number that will allow you to track your shipment until it arrives, if applicable. (i.e. USPS and Airmail do not receive tracking numbers.)
  7. It is very important to supply a correct and active e-mail address and phone number. Failure to do so may delay fulfillment of your order if there is a problem.

How do I pay for my order?

We accept Visa, Master Card, American Express and Discover/Novus credit cards for online, telephone, fax and mail orders.  Checks and money orders are accepted with mail orders only.

Is it safe to use my credit card online?

This site features online ordering on our secure server to ensure your privacy, protection, and peace of mind. All information transmitted between you and our server while you are at the checkout is encrypted for your protection. However, if you prefer, you may phone fax or e-mail your order.

Will I be paying Sales Tax?

State of Maryland residents will pay sales tax of 5%.

Internal processing of your order will take about 1-2 business days.  Please add additional time depending on your shipping method.  See chart below to determine approximate number of days for each shipping method.

We ship via FedEx and the U.S. Postal Service for domestic U.S. orders and DHL and Airmail for foreign orders.

Will I be charged more if some of the items I ordered are back ordered & need to be shipped separately?

No – shipping costs are based on the total number of items of ordered per order, regardless of whether the order has to be shipped in one package or multiple packages.

Guaranteed Return Policy

What is your return policy?

Your satisfaction is guaranteed! We have a 30 Day Money-Back guarantee.  100% refund on book purchases, 50% on video, audio, and software purchases, and 60% on Joe Ross books. Any books returned that were purchased as part of a package (i.e. bundled items) will be credited for 70% of the purchase price for that book. If the entire package is returned, the entire amount paid for the package will be refunded. Videos purchased as a part of a package will still receive 50% credit.

*If you receive free books or items with a purchase, they also need to be included when returning the original product. If they are not, the full retail price of the free items will be charged against your return.

How do I return an item?

Simply send the item(s) back to us so we receive them within 30 days of purchase to receive your refund. It is that easy.

A couple of tips when returning items:

  • Insure your package! If it is lost or damaged on the way to us, you can still get your money back from the shipping company.
  • Allow enough time for your package to arrive to us within the 30 day period.
  • If at all possible, include the packing slip or original invoice with your return to expedite your credit. If not, include your name, address and phone number, as it appeared on the original order and the item(s) you are returning.

If I return an item, will I be credited the shipping cost?

No - The credit received on the returned item will not include shipping costs.  However, if you are returning an item due to our mistake – your shipping cost will also be credited to your account.

Account Information

How do I create an account?

Click on the log in button on the top menu bar.   At the log in screen click on "Create a New Account" and enter your information.  The next time you visit Traders' Library all you have to do is click on the log in button, enter your e-mail address and password. Please keep your password safe and do not share it with anyone!

Why should I create an account?

There are many reasons to create an account, including:

  • You will never need to type in your billing and/or shipping address again! Make sure you have completed the on-line account forms and click "Update" when you are logged in.
  • You can create a wish list – similar to a bridal registry but for books.
  • Have you ever come across a book you thought you should purchase but didn't want to at that time, but when you  were ready to purchase you forgot the title? Now you don't have to worry – just add the book to your wish list and it will be there whenever you want to purchase it.
  • Your friends and family can buy you exactly what you want – by accessing your wish list.

What happens if my e-mail address or mailing address changes?

Simply log in with your current e-mail address and go to the "My Account" page, make the changes and click on the "Update" button.

What do I do if I can't remember my password?

Simply click on the log in button and then click on the link that says "Remind Me"and enter you e-mail address in the box provided.  You will receive an e-mail with your password.

How can I be sure that my credit card information will not be stolen and will remain safe?

Does Traders' Library accept bulk orders?

Most definitely – we will be happy to take your multiple copy orders for any title in our inventory.

Wish List

What is a wish list?

Have you ever come across a book you wanted but weren’t ready to purchase it at the time, and when you were ready to buy it you forgot the title?

Now you don't have to worry – just add the book to your wish list and it will be there whenever you want to purchase it. Much like a bridal registry, this feature allows you to keep a running list of items you would like to have. You don’t have to purchase any or all items on your list at any one time. Your list will be there every time you log in to our site. Plus, your friends and family can now buy you exactly what you want - simply by viewing your wish list!

How do I put an item on my wish list?

On the "More Info" page of the title – simply click on the button that says "Add to Wish List".  The item will automatically be added to your wish list if you are logged in. If you are not logged in, you will be prompted to log in.

How do I buy an item on my wish list?

You must have an on-line account setup and you must be logged in. Click on the link on the left menu bar that says "Wish List" and your complete wish list will be displayed.  You can then click on the "Add to Cart" button of any of the items you wish to purchase.

Can I send my wish list to friends and family?

We encourage you to send your wish list to friends and family – just follow these simple guidelines:

  1. You must have an on-line account setup and you must be logged in.
  2. Click on the wish list button on the left menu bar.
  3. On your wish list page – click on the link that says "E-mail My Wish List to a Friend", enter the e-mail address or addresses where you want the link sent, separate each e-mail address with a comma.
  4. Enter a personal message and we will send an e-mail to your desired recipients with a link to your wish list.

How can I find my friend/colleagues wish list?

Click on the "Wish List" link on the left menu bar.  On the wish list page – enter the e-mail address of the person whose list you wish to find in the box and click "View".

How do I purchase an item for a friend from their wish list?

  • Click on the "Wish List" link on the left menu bar.
  • On the wish list page – enter the e-mail address of the person whose list you wish to find and click "View".
  • On the list, click on the "Add to Cart" button for the item you want to purchase for that friend.
  • Complete the check out process.

How do I search for titles?

We have created various sections for you to browse through, they include:
New Releases – Newly released titles
Best Sellers – Traders' Library bestsellers
Bargain Buys – Discounted titles
Recommended Reading – Titles suggested by leaders in the industry

A comprehensive search engine is located in the top menu bar of every page.
In this box, you may search by Title, Author, Keywords, Item Number or ISBN number.

Do you have any tips for creating proper search phrases?

Yes – here are some guidelines you can use in your search:

  • Use the "Advanced Search" by clicking the link in the left menu bar.
  • Do not use conjunctions such as AND and OR. Use the drop down menus to narrow the search.
  • You don't need to type out a complete title. Try just two or three of the words in the title.
  • Search type - There are the two types:
    • All the Words: returns all items which contain the exact words entered . The words don't have to be together or in the same order to match. But they all must match.
    • Exact Phrase: returns all items which match the phrase exactly. The entire phrase and word order are matched.
  • You can speed up the search and narrow it at the same time by choosing a category from the drop-down menu for categories. This type of search will only return matches within a particular category.
  • The keyword search is slower than the other searches. It searches against the item number, the title, the author, the table of contents, the jacket description, and the synopsis. The other searches are much narrower and faster. But this search should yield the widest results.
  • When you do a search by item number, the search will also return any bundles which contain the item number. A bundle is a package of more than one item bundled together for one price.
  • Your search results can be sorted by title, author or price.
